Friends are important

I had some girlfriends over for a luncheon on the weekend and we had a relaxing time together.   I don't get to see them that often now but when we do get together we have a lot of catching up to do.

Friends to me are important as they make me a more rounded person.  I am not only a partner, mother, grandmother but I am also a friend.

I love this verse that I have on a tile trivet on my desk.  I don't know who wrote it but its very true.

Friends are like diamonds precious but rare
False friends are like autumn leaves found everywhere
 
One of my friends bought me these lovely flowers pictured below and I had gifts of chocolates as well.  

I am very lucky to have such precious friends.
